Moveable Feasts

We bring literature to life through our popular Moveable Feast series.  These remarkable dinner parties are evenings designed with a theme which relates to a book of choice by the sponsoring host. These events can be small, intimate dinners among friends, tea parties for little girls or larger events bringing in hundreds of guests.  The intent of these events is to raise awareness for the library and funds for the Foundation's continued support of library programming, while creating a unique literary experience for participants.    

When sponsoring a Moveable Feast, our intent is for hosts to feel that they are throwing their very own party. We offer assistance when needed but try to keep our influence to a minimum.  We will create the invitations for the event – keeping in theme with the literary work chosen – and we will offer assistance in ticket sales and ideas on ways to promote the Foundation for guests. We want guests to understand that their ticket purchase goes towards Foundation operations or a designated library program (chosen by the host).  We also want guests to understand that they are welcome to contribute in any way, should they want to donate additional dollars.
