The Story of the Boerne Library Foundation

Our story is simple.  We are here to advocate for our library because we believe that better libraries build better communities and because Boerne is a community that reads, appreciates the arts and culture and is interested in staying connected through books, literature, technology, arts and cultural events. It is also a community that cares for all who live here, and the library remains at the forefront for providing educational opportunities and lifelong learning for all citizens.

We are here because of the generous support of our benefactors and the dedication and steadfast devotion of our board members, who believe in our mission.  We are turning the page in 2009  to a brighter chapter.  With the opening of the Patrick Heath Public Library, Boerne has created a new center for culture and intellectual curiosity right here in the heart of our downtown.  A place for all, regardless of income, race, gender or class, to feel welcome, engaged and a part of our great community for generations to come.  There is no ending to our story, or to what we can do to build a greater library together.
